Roles and Responsibilities

• People management for local Sony AI teams (in Tokyo or Zurich)
• Work with local support service departments (e.g., HR, purchasing, IT, controlling etc.) and admin team
• Close collaboration with project managers and global leadership
• Travel to other Sony sites, and international conferences

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Background in science or engineering (MSc or PhD)
• Track record of successful research leadership in a line management position
• Excellent oral and written English. German and/or Japanese language skills are a plus but not a necessity
• Experience with robotics projects is a plus
• Experience with hardware and software development is a plus
• Experience with agile project management methods is a plus
• Experience with international teams & projects is a plus
