Sony AI will be participating in the Reinforcement Learning (RL) Conference in Amherst, Massachusetts, from August 9 to 12, 2024 where we will be joining some of the brightest minds in the field—and we are honored to be a part of it.
We will also be presenting a keynote during the conference which will be led by Peter Stone, Chief Scientist at Sony AI and a leading figure in the field of reinforcement learning. His keynote, titled "Practical Reinforcement Learning: Lessons from 30 Years of Research," will delve into the practical applications of RL, drawing on decades of research and experience.
Peter Stone will also discuss Gran Turismo Sophy™, one of the largest commercial deployments of an RL agent. Gran Turismo Sophy (GT Sophy) 2.0, is now a permanent feature in Gran Turismo 7 (GT7) for PlayStation 4 and 5® racing simulation games.
Sony AI has consistently demonstrated its commitment to advancing the field of reinforcement learning. In addition to the GT Sophy project, our team is exploring the impact of RL through various other research initiatives:
We invite you to join us at the Reinforcement Learning Conference to gain insights from Peter Stone’s keynote and to learn more about the paper that was accepted, “A Super-human Vision-based Reinforcement Learning Agent for Autonomous Racing in Gran Turismo,” This event is an excellent opportunity to learn about the latest advancements in RL and to network with experts in the field.
