Profile

Prior to joining SonyAI, Yamen directed software and product development at avatarin Inc from 2020 until late 2022. He received his MSc and PhD degrees in Media Design from Keio University in 2015 and 2018, respectively. Afterward, Yamen continued his academic career as a Project Senior Assistant Professor at Keio University Graduate School of Media Design (KMD) until March 2020. His research interest has been focused on human augmentation and wearable robotics and has been demonstrated and awarded at various international conferences and venues such as United Nations AI for Good Summit, SIGGRAPH, Augmented Human, and Ars Electronica.
